"Mini projects" kickoff

Although there's plenty to be doing in the main part of the house, we've got a whole bunch of challenges, mostly outside, to be doing. We'd like to at least get most of them started this year, but only a few will get finished.

In no particular order:
  • Turn the old cow stalls into a workshop and home brewery
  • Get a new front door and sort out the entry hall
  • Build a dry stone retaining wall around the patio area
  • Get the old pigsty into shape as a potting shed
  • Get rid of the piles of earth dotted around the garden, and maybe excavate old limestone terraces
  • Get a floor down in the attic space
There's more... but I think that'll do!

Here's a rather long video to walk through them all.

  1. I'm seeing the pigsty as a kind of smoking lounge/humidor arrangement.

    1. Funny you should say that. After we decided not to put my office there, plan two, suggested by my better half, was to make it a "Männerzimmer" for whisky and cigars :D Maybe we do that upstairs, in the tobacco drying house part, in a few years.
